Wilson Kerr launched today Location Based Services (http://lbs.ulitzer.com) topic on Ulitzer with more than 5,000 articles.
The power of Location allows information (including advertising) to be delivered to consumers most-able to act upon this information, based on their real-time proximity to the physical locations where transactions occur.
Location is changing the very nature of advertising and mobile Location Based Services (LBS) are expected to see a 45% increase in revenue generated in 2010. In the next 5 years, more people will gain access to the web on their phones than on PCs.
Since consumers carry their phones with them, this is a game-changer for performance-based advertising.
Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Nokia, Apple, Amazon, Dell, Garmin, etc are all in the mix here and there is a lot at stake.
Wilson has 10+ years experience in the Location Based Services space, having held positions in Business Development, Sales, and Digital Licensing Initiatives at Outdoor Intelligence, Fishing Hot Spots Maps and Tele Atlas North America.
Wilson has expertise in the areas of new product development, content aggregation and licensing, business development, and is knowledgeable in a broad range of navigation technologies (in-car Nav, Personal Nav, and Wireless).
Wilson has worked with top tier brands, content providers, device manufacturers, and application developers. Company Website: www.LBStrategy.com.
